Product Information: 3M™ Secure Click™ Hard Case D9000 Series Particulate Filters are approved for use with 3M™ Secure Click™ Respirators in environments containing certain particles.. 3M™ Secure Click™ Particulate Filter P100 with Nuisance Level Acid Gas Relief D3096 has the Secure Click™ connection style. The 3M™ Secure Click™ connection style enables a quick, simple connection of the particulate filters. Simply align the connections on the facepiece and filter and push until you hear a click. The innovative Secure Click connection helps provide wearers confidence that the filters are installed properly. Also, the Secure Click filters are dual-flow to allow easier breathing.
3M Secure Click Particulate Filter P100 with Nuisance Level Acid Gas Relief D3096 is made with proprietary Advanced Electrostatic Media (AEM) consisting of highly charged microfibers arranged in an open formation that enhance the capture of airborne particles while allowing for greater passage of air through the media. These particulate filters are both flame and water resistant. The D3096 particulate filter may be used in a variety of applications such as grinding, sanding and welding. Common uses of D3096 particulate filters include filtering solids such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, cotton, flour, and certain other substances. It may also be used for liquid or oil based particles from sprays that do not also emit harmful vapors and for metal fumes produced from welding, brazing, cutting and other operations involving heating of metals. The D3096 may be used to help reduce exposure to radioactive particulate materials such as uranium and plutonium. It can also be used for asbestos. The D3096 particulate filter is recommended for relief from nuisance levels of acid gases such as sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, and/or chlorine. Nuisance level refers to concentrations not exceeding the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) or other applicable government exposure limits, whichever is lower. The D3096 is not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH), sandblasting, or in environments that contain hazardous levels of
