Product Overview
Consistent Fine Finish
Our Scotch-Brite™ Hookit™ Production Clean and Finish Sheet is designed to help you achieve a superior finish on solid surfaces and other materials. It features Very Fine (VFN) grade aluminum oxide mineral on a non-woven 3D web of fibers to produce excellent finishing results. Cut or fold the sheet to a custom size for hand sanding tricky areas.
Stiff Durability for Medium-Pressure Applications
This open-web sheet delivers all the great benefits you expect from Scotch-Brite™ products. It conforms to uneven surfaces and leaves an incredibly consistent finish without undercutting the workpiece. Additionally, it’s engineered with enhanced stiffness to provide added durability for medium-pressure applications. Compared to our standard Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Sheet, this sheet is denser and more tear resistant. Choose this sheet for medium-pressure cleaning, scratch blending, and creating satin finishes on aluminum, stainless steel and other metals. It is also suitable for use on plastics, wood and fiberglass.
Fast Cut and Long Life
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Hookit™ for Easy Tool Attachment
Scotch-Brite™ Hookit™ Production Clean and Finish Sheet features a Hookit™ backing to make tool attachment easier for operators. Small loops are created by pulling fabric through the scrim, and these loops attach to hooks on a Hookit™ backup pad (sold separately).
The Scotch-Brite™ Advantage
Non-woven technology makes our Scotch-Brite™ abrasives unique. We intersperse abrasive mineral on synthetic fibers using resin – creating an open web construction. Spaces between the fibers permit excess material to escape, so the mineral does not clogged by debris. The spring-like nature of the fibers works well on contours and responds to subtleties on the surface. Its responsive design effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils and contaminants without ruining the base material, so you get a consistent and uniform finish – part after part.
