Product Overview
A Cut-Off Wheel Tool Sized and Powered for Body Repair
Designed to optimize the performance of 3M™ Cut-Off Wheels in collision repair applications, our 3M™ Cut-Off Wheel Tool for Body Repair is very light, yet delivers the power for tough automotive substrates. The .70 HP motor is strong enough for cutting through metals including aluminum, steel and even high strength steel. The tool’s small size makes it very easy to handle, and a tough composite housing helps make it very light – less than 2 lbs. – so operators can cut using less effort.
This automotive cut-off wheel tool is designed for use by skilled, trained professionals in accordance with the instructions in the user manual. It is optimized for 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cut-Off Wheels, featuring precision-shaped grains engineered to cut faster than competitive ceramic products for significant gains in productivity.
About Cubitron™ II Abrasives
3M™ Cubitron™ II abrasive products have raised the bar for high-performing abrasives. Engineers started with 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain and used technology to electrostatically orient each triangular structure on the backing to form sharp peaks and maximize cutting potential. These peaks act like individual cutting tools that slice through metal, and continuously shelf-sharpen as the points break off, ensuring extended high performance in heavy-duty production applications. The grains wear evenly and provide extra-long life and consistency with less grinding pressure. The result is that Cubitron™ II products out-cut and outlast every conventional ceramic industrial abrasive product on the market, maximizing productivity and minimizing cut-off wheel stress and operator fatigue.
