Product Information: The 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Cloth Disc 327DC was designed for use in AOEM body shop applications for blending and finishing scratch marks created by previous grinding or repair steps. It is available in two grades in make-to-order sizes. The Hookit attachment system maximizes time and abrasive reuse easier..

Ideal for Automotive White Metal Repair
Our 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Cloth Disc 327DC works well for automotive white metal repair to blend and finish minor defects and remove scratch marks left behind by metal files or rotary tools.

This cloth disc is available in A160 and A300 grades in make-to-order sizes.

"Bricks and Channels" Abrasive Structure
Macroreplication is the science behind the geometrical brick-and-channel abrasive structure that distinguishes our 327DC products. These unique abrasive bricks contain up to four times as much mineral as conventional abrasives. As the mineral breaks down, fresh mineral is exposed.

Cuts and Finishes Consistently All the Way to the Backing
Channels between the abrasive bricks reduce heat build-up and remove swarf. The easy breakdown profile of 327DC abrasives means it resists loading when working with aluminum, zinc, brass and other softer metals.

The result is an abrasive product that cuts and finishes consistently from the beginning to the end of its life – all the way to the backing.

Reduce Variability, Reduce Process Steps, Reduce Cost per Part
The extremely uniform distribution of mineral over the backing and the brick-like structure of the mineral serves to extend the consistent cut and finish of 3M™ Trizact™ into earlier finishing operations.

The consistency with which 3M™ Trizact™ 327DC abrasives refine scratches, in combination with the unique abrasive structure, often enables operators to consolidate or eliminate process steps. The macroreplicated bricks deliver the same great results time after time, which can also reduce the need for rework.

3M™ Hookit™ Discs Are Clean and Easy
3M™ Hookit™ discs are easy to change and reuse, maximizing utility for the life of the disc. 3M offers a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt.

Hookit sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.

Recommended Applications

  • Hand file scratch refinement
  • Rotary tool scratch refinement
  • Blending and finishing of minor defects
  • Effective on galvanized and aluminum parts

3M Science. Applied to Engineering More Perfect Surfaces.
3M pioneered the use of tiny, precisely shaped structures to give materials new physical, chemical or optical properties.

3M began as an abrasives manufacturer. For more than a century, we have refined our original technologies and complemented them with breakthrough inventions developed by other 3M businesses. Today, our abrasives rely on traditional strengths such as adhesives and coating, as well as the most modern technologies, from micro- and macroreplication to ceramic and nonwoven materials. The result is a comprehensive range of abrasives that shape, finish and polish with ease and precision.
