A smooth flute provides a pathway to permit the removal of chips and to allow coolants to reach the cutting surface, making a significant impact on productivity. Choose fluting wheels with shapes 1V1 or 1A1. Arbor hole is made to customer specifications.
A Reliable Bond for a Range of Operations
Diamond mineral is anchored to 3M™ Diamond Wheel 654DJ using a high-strength phenolic resin bond. Resin bond superabrasive wheels are designed for fast and cool cutting. They perform well in both wet and dry grinding applications, making them an excellent all-purpose choice for a range of operations.
When Only Diamond Will Do
Diamond is the hardest substance known to man and one of the only abrasives capable of effectively grinding, cutting or shaping ultra-hard materials such as cemented carbides, ferrites and ceramics. Use the 3M™ Diamond Wheel 654DJ for precision finishing of ceramics; grinding tungsten carbide, cermets, ceramic thermal spray coatings, polycrystalline diamond (PCD) and glass; grinding of carbide-tipped and inserted tools such as saws, cutters, reamers, endmills, etc.; and precision grinding on carbide dies, rolls and carbide wear parts.
