Product Information: Designed with a durable polyester film backing and diamond mineral, the 3M™ Diamond Microfinishing Film Disc 675L delivers a wide variety of finishes on hard materials like thermal spray coating, ceramics, carbides, chilled iron and granite..

High-quality Materials for Micro-finishing
3M™ Diamond Microfinishing Film Disc 675L adheres micron-graded diamonds to a polyester film backing. Polyester film backings are water resistant, so the abrasive may be run with a water or oil-based coolant, which helps remove swarf and generally extends abrasive life. The discs are also color coded by grade to help you reduce the risk of selecting the wrong grade.

Tips for Achieving Desired Roughness Average
Many hard-to-grind materials require a specific Ra, or roughness average, when applying thermal spray coatings, carbides, ceramics, exotic alloys, or other composites. It is important for operators to consider these factors – Ra and substrate – when selecting the grade of film for this disc.
