Product Overview
Precision Finishing, Performance Grinding
3M™ Resin Bond Diamond Super Abrasive Wheels are built for precision finishing of ceramics; grinding tungsten carbide, cermets, ceramic thermal spray coatings, polycrystalline diamond (PCD) and glass; grinding carbide tipped and inserted tools such as saws, cutters, reamers, endmills, etc.; and precision grinding on carbide dies, rolls and carbide wear parts.
They perform well in both wet and dry grinding applications. Bond systems available for either wet and dry, or wet applications.
Resin Bonds
Our diamond grinding wheels with resin bonds are able to deliver precise shapes and dimensions when grinding small, complex workpieces. In general, resin bonds are fast cutting and least expensive. Corrections need to be made less frequently and our resin bonded diamond wheels provide excellent grip.
Multitude of Options
3M standard options for our 3M™ Resin Bond Diamond Super Abrasive Wheels are widths from 0.02 to 20 inches and diameters from 1/2 to 30 inches. Grit sizes range from 60/80 to 500 mesh and concentrations from 50 to 150.
We most commonly process wheels for fluting, primary and secondary relief, gashing, grinding top/bottom inserts, peripheral inserts, OD grinding, and centerless grinding and surface grinding as well as grinding for woodworking applications.
3M Science. A Cut Above.
In many configurations for a multitude of applications, our 3M™ Resin Bond Diamond Super Abrasive Wheel is a part of our broad portfolio of superabrasive wheels. Our diamond wheels are designed for today’s most challenging applications, from grinding hardened steels and super alloys to finishing materials such as glass, ceramics and tough composites.
