3M™ Flexible Abrasive HookIt™ Interface Foam Pad offers exceptional versatility with its ability to work as either a hook-in attachment or loop-in attachment pad. The foam acts as a flexible cushion that follows automotive body curves and contours, delivering consistent and uniform results all over the car.
An example of how our interface foam pad could be used is with 3M Flexible Abrasive HookIt Hand Sheets (sold separately), which is ideal for primer sanding, blend preparation and paint finishing. The interface foam pad enhances the flexibility, conformability and soft feel of the abrasive sheet. This gives auto body technicians a better sense of control and reach when sanding hard-to-reach areas such as bumper covers, door jambs and door pockets.
When our 3M™ Flexible Abrasive HookIt™ Interface Foam Pad is paired with 3M Flexible Abrasive HookIt Hand Sheets, the combined flexibility of these products saves time in an automotive body shop. These products will access hard-to-reach locations with greater ease, allowing for jobs to be completed in less time. Our interface foam pad also saves time and boosts productivity because it uses the HookIt™ attachment system, which conveniently and firmly attaches to the abrasive to the pad. When it's time to switch to a different grit abrasive, the sheet can be removed quickly, cleanly and easily. But you don't have to throw away the sheet if there is still a useful service life to the abrasive, The HookIt™ attachment system allows for repeat attachments, permitting you to use a sheet until the abrasive is fully spent.
